Evelyn Jackson
1938-2022
Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Clara Evelyn Street Jackson, was called to her Heavenly home on October 17, 2022. She was born September 22, 1938, in Ogden, UT to James and Clara Street. She married Keith B. Jackson on June 27, 1957. Their marriage was blessed with 5 children. They were later divorced.
Evelyn graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Weber State College. She received her master’s degree from Utah State University.
Our mother and grandma always remembered every birthday and gave the most magical gifts. We loved her laugh and warm hugs. It was always special to go with her for dinner to Maddox and Taggart’s Grill. She taught us to be creative and to always have fun. She always cheered us on in all our endeavors. She changed so many lives and helped many people through her many years as a schoolteacher in Morgan.
Evelyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed serving others, especially through her church service. She served in many callings including in Relief Society and Young Women’s.
Evelyn is survived by her sons, Blain (Susan), Brad (Glenda), and Bruce, (Sue); sisters Linda Jernigan and Sherry Smith; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Jill and Janae; and two grandchildren.
