Mrs. Evelyn M. Maytum passed away suddenly at her home in Littleton, Colorado on Monday, September 20, 2010 of natural causes. She was 88 years of age. Evelyn is survived by her husband Charles David Maytum, sons Bruce D. and Brian M. Maytum, and grand children Shaina and Zak Pantiel Maytum.
Evelyn was born October 14, 1921 near Aurelia, Iowa. She attended nursing school at St, Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota and married Charles D. Maytum in Liberal, KS in May 1944 while he was serving in the Army Air Corps. In Minnesota, Evelyn bore two sons: Bruce in Rochester, and Brian in .
After the family moved to the Albuquerque, New Mexico area in 1950, they settled permanently in Colorado in 1957, living first in Denver, then in Littleton. Evelyn worked as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Robert Austin and his associate physicians for 25 years.
Evelyn was remembered at a private family ceremony in Ketring Park on Saturday, September 25, 2010.
