Evelyn M. (Evie) Nelson, 82, of 3201 River Road, Lewisburg, formerly of Louisa Street, died Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Riverwoods Nursing Home.
Evie’s husband, John W. (Jack) Nelson, died on June 25, 2010.
Evie was a member of the St. Paul-Calvary United Methodist Church and a graduate of the Erie Academy High School, Erie.
Evie enjoyed doing cross stitching, was a member of the Rusty Hinges Exercise Class and loved traveling with her husband.
Before she and her husband moved to Williamsport in 1951, she was a supervisor for the telephone company in Erie.
Born January 11, 1927 in Erie, she was the daughter of George and Mae Smith.
Surviving are a brother, Glen (Marilyn) Smith of West Chester, six nieces and nephews and eleven great nieces and nephews.
Evie was predeceased by a brother, Wilbur Smith.
