Mrs. Olav (Evelyn) Vetrhus, 83, of Canyon Lake, California, formerly of Ottawa, died October 9 at the Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, California.
Mrs. Vetrhus was born February 2, 1923 in Waltham Township to Sam and Anna (Lockrem) Anderson. Andrew and Mary (Lockrem) Boe raised her from birth. She went to school at Shabonna Elementary in Ottawa, Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in Fergus Falls, MN in 1941 and also attended Bible School in Hillcrest. She married Olav Vetrhus on December 28, 1950 in Ottawa.
She is survived by her husband Olav; two daughters, Mariann Vetrhus of Corona, CA. and Karen (Bill) Gillissie of Bradbury, CA.; two sons, Arne (Patty) Vetrhus of Salmon, Idaho and Steven (Vetrhus) of Salmon, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother at birth, one sister, Mary (Floyd) Dittmer and two brothers, Art Anderson and Howard Anderson. Pallbearers will be: John Boe, William Gillissie, Mark Hanson, Tony Ledford, Wesley Osthus, and Steven Vetrhus.
