Evelyn L. Lawton, died Saturday August 21, 2004 at the Care Choice Nursing Home in Boerne, Texas. She was born September 22, 1912 in Nacogdoches, Texas and was 91 years old. She was a resident of Fremont, California for 34 years, where she served as an elementary school secretary before retiring. Evelyn and her husband Bill were trustees and long time members of the Centerville Presbyterian Church in California.Evelyn graduated Magna cum Laude from Texas College of Arts and Industries with a degree in Business Administration in continued her education at Louisiana State University where she graduated with a Masters of Science degree in Business in 1936. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband William C. Lawton, brothers; John, Adolph and Alvin Loeckle, Sisters; Anna Trost and Louise Cason. She is survived by her niece and nephew Joe and Myra Wheeler, who served as her caretakers for the past 5 years. Other surviving nieces and nephews are Warren Trost, Adelaide Middlemas, Alvin Loeckle Jr., Helen McFarland and Rembert Cason.
