Evelyn Blanche (Levy) Johnson – Obituary

Levy was born and raised in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming with her parents Archie and Nadene Wilson and her brother Jack. Cancer ended her life in the beautiful mountain community of Whitefish, Montana at the age of 87.

Levy attended school in Sheridan, Wyoming and graduated from Carroll College in Helena and St. Vincent Hospital in Billings as a registered nurse. Levy met Jess Johnson at Carroll College and three years later when she was working as a surgical nurse in Tuscan, Arizona she saw him again as he was attending pharmacy school, she then married William J. Johnson, the love of her life. They bought a pharmacy in Hardin, Montana in 1960 where they raised their four children. After 30 years, they retired and moved to Whitefish where Jess was a relief pharmacist and Levy became very involved in community/volunteer work. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Soroptimist International, and Stich & Bitch Knitting Club.

Jess & Levy were married 64 years and were constant and loving companions. They were surrounded by many very close friends. Levy was a caring and compassionate person, she blessed us with many words of wisdom in her ways of teaching us, she was a great story teller and we learned to play many games together as a family.

Levy was preceded in death by her parents, brother and grandson; she is survived by her husband William (Jess), her children: Scott & Vicki Johnson, Kim Johnson, Kristi Wagner and Tempe Lalonde; grandchildren include: Ali & Abbey, Drew & Tyler and Jack & Presley; two great granddaughters: Evie & Hazel.
