Evelyn Parker Durden Hines passed away April 7, 2017 in Newnan, GA. She was born in Alabama on October 29, 1917, and at 99, she was the last surviving of eight siblings. She retired from a long career at Southern States in Hampton, GA, where she lived most of her life. She loved her church, enjoyed playing bridge, entertaining friends and volunteering at her local food bank. Her family was her greatest joy.
She was preceded in death by husbands, William Earon Durden, Sr. and Leonard Hines, sons, Malcolm Durden and Tom Durden and great-granddaughter, Crystal Purcell. She is survived by her children, Bill Durden (Ardy) of Newnan, GA, Sissy Anderson (Fred) of Clayton, GA, daughters-in-law, Patti Durden of Newnan, GA and Melody Durden of Havana, FL, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was treasured as a wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
