Evelyn F. Lamb, 91, of Freeport, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at Parkview Home. Born January 15, 1921, near Rock Grove, Illinois she was the daughter of Edward and Maude (Urban) Folgate.
She married John L. Lamb on October 24, 1939. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1938. Evelyn was employed by Crum-Forster for 22 years retiring in 1985. She earned an associate degree in business and industrial management from Highland Community College in 1975. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Ed (Debbie) Rosenow of DeKalb; grandchildren, Ted (Beth) Rosenow of DeKalb, Edward J. (Heather) Rosenow of Antioch, Shara (Matt) Slattery of Elgin, Karl (Kathy) Lamb of Suwanee, Georgia, Jeffrey Lamb of Florida, and Shelley Lamb of Florida; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Sharon Rosenow; sons, Richard and Karl Lamb; brothers, Ransom and Emmert “Tom” Folgate; and sisters, Myrtle Crawford and Ethel Rodebaugh.
