“Evy” as she was called, was born on December 2, 1925, in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, to parents Harry and Gertrude Richardson. In 1933, the family moved West in search of work and settled in Boise, Idaho, where she grew up. She attended Boise High School, graduating in 1944. Every month, she attended a luncheon with her remaining high school classmates.
At an early age, Evelyn was an avid roller-skater. She won several talent shows. Later in life, she became a bowler and participated in a bowling league, where she was also very proficient. She also cross-country skiied. In 1959, she married Dr. Gerald Graves, a local Optometrist. Evy worked for the American Optical Company for over 20 years and developed an eye wear boutique company. She was widowed in 1973.
Evy married Delvin Frazier in 1974. Together, they successfully built a glass company in the 70’s, and worked side by side until they successfully retired. In their retirement years, she and Del made trips to Alaska, Texas, New Orleans, as well as other places, which they truly enjoyed. Evelyn also worked at Simplot in the field department as a secretary. Evy was caregiver to Del after he was diagnosed with cancer. After he passed away, she entered into a phase of her life where she liked to be home. Evy had four loves: God, family, her faith, and friends.
Evy is survived by 6 step-children, 3 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, and 9 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a brother, Harry (Butch) Richardson, who resides in Boise, and a sister, Merle Schmidt, who resides in Phoenix, AZ. She also had a special relationship with her niece, Dawna Laird.
