SALEM – Evelyn “Evie” Spence, age 38, died at 3:13 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. She was born August 31, 1979 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of Gary and Katherine (Hamilton) Franklin.
Evie was employed as a home health care aide at New Leaf Residential in Austintown and previously worked at Pizza Hut. She was a 1998 graduate of United Local High School. Evie was very caring, putting the needs of others before her own. She had a big heart, always ready with a smile and loved by many.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary E. Spence and Juli Jean Spence, both of Salem; a stepson, Deegan Spence-Carlile of Alliance; a sister, Gayle L. Franklin of Salem; a brother, Gary Franklin Jr. of Salem; a nephew, Nathan Franklin of Salem; and two nieces, Amy Franklin of North Canton and Lisa Franklin of Nashville, TN.
