Evelyn E. Nelson passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on December 7, 2019. Evelyn was born on August 8, 1923 in Rockport, MA, the daughter of George Moors and Frances (Zeller) Moors. A 1941 graduate of Rockport High School, she took classes part-time at Boston University and worked at GE in Lynn, MA soldering military aviation equipment to meet wartime demand. It was there that she met her husband of 51 years, Joseph F. Nelson. They married and primarily lived in Lynnfield, MA raising their four children. Evelyn was active at Our Lady of Assumption and St. Maria Goretti parishes, was a member of the German American club and the Cy Tenney club, worked for many years in retail, and was a consummate reader.
