Evelyn Casner Burns, 84, of St. Petersburg, Florida and formerly of West Haven, wife of the late James T. Burns Sr., passed away Thursday July 28, 2011 at Milford Health Care Center. Mother of James Jr. (Denise) Burns, Linda (James) Donegan, Clifford (Pamela) Burns and Debra Burns of NV. Grandmother of James, Michael, Christopher, David and Stephanie. Great Grandmother of Aislinn, Kieran and Maeve. Also survived by two step great grandchildren Elizabeth and Nathan. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Grace Casner. She worked for SNET for 25 years before retiring to St. Petersburg with her husband and where they resided for 18 years. The family would like to thank Milford Health Care Center for their compassion and warm care for Evelyn over the past 16 years.
