BEVERLY, MA: Evelyn (Hooker) Bronstein, 81, of Beverly, MA., passed peacefully in her home on August 8, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late Melvin Bronstein, mother to Scott Bronstein and his wife, Laurie, and grandmother to Dalya Bronstein. She also leaves her sister Rita Shaffer and her husband, Irving, her brother Carl, and his wife, Sally, and a sister-in- law Gigi Hooker. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was a great friend to Toby and the late Burt Shaffer and their family. Evelyn was an avid sports fan and loved playing cards. She was the daughter of Morris and Rebecca Hooker.
