Evelyn “Betty” Larson, 85 of Gilmore City. Evelyn Elizabeth Larson, the daughter of Welby and Addie (Pace) Boles was born September 5, 1923 in Rolfe, Iowa. She went home to be with her Lord on the morning of July 21, 2009 with her family by her side at the Humbolt County Memorial Hospital. She was united in marriage with Leon”Bud” Larson on February 27, 1949 in Gilmore City. They made their home in Bradgate and Ford Dodge before locating to Gilmore City in 1957. Betty hahd been a resident of the South Care Center, Humboldt since April of 2009. Survivors include her son Harvey Zemen and family of Illinois, daughters: Dixie (Robert) Otto, and Eva (Rick) Cofer of Gilmore City, and Kathy Telford of Humboldt, grandchildren, Travis Tinken and family of Story City, Roby, Roger, Ricky and Casie Cofer and family of Humboldt, Mike and Lynn Otto and family of Humboldt, Eric and Michele Cavner of Phoenix, AZ, David Telford, Minnesota, twelve great grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 4 brothers and 1 granddaughter. Betty will be missed for her phone calls, her large heart and caring ways and her love of the Lord. Our family will remember her always saying “Seat belt and 55”.
