Evelyn A. Kruse, 78, of Orangeville, died Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Lena Living Center in Lena.

Born March 27, 1936 in Freeport she was the daughter of Roscoe and Bertha (Becker) Askey. She was married to Leslie Kruse, Sr. for 62 years having been married on August 29, 1952.

She was a farmer’s wife and homemaker. She also worked part time for 19 years in the Oneco Grocery Store and 15 years as a CNA, and in the men’s barber shop at St. Joseph Home for the Aged.

Evelyn loved cats. She enjoyed playing the drums and feeding the birds.

Surviving are her husband, Leslie of Orangeville; three sons, Leslie (Laurie) Kruse Jr. of Monroe, Wisconsin, Wesley (Mondie) Kruse of Superior, Wisconsin and Arlie Kruse of Fairfax, Virginia; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Mayer and Charlotte Cross both of McConnell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-laws, Wayne Cross, Fay Kruse, Don Kruse, Ben Flock, and Melvin Pfile; daughter-in-law, Robin Kruse and her in-laws George and Mabel Kruse.

Her body has been donated to Science.
