Eve Holcomb was born January 26, 1920 in Des Moines, Iowa and died January 30, 2022 at 102 at home in Overland Park, Kansas surrounded by caregivers and family. She was preceded by her husband, Dean Holcomb, and her daughter-in-law, Carole Holcomb (Mark).
Eve is survived by her sons, Dennis Holcomb (Margie) of Deltona, Florida and Mark Holcomb of Olathe, Kansas. Her linage includes four grandchildren, Michael (Lori), Rebecca (Tony), Sarah, and Kristen (Scott), and nine great grandchildren, who are indeed great.
She lived through extraordinary times and an extraordinary life. Eve and Dean traveled the world and adventured through life. Family, friends, and far off places were the center of her life and universe.
She layered us in love, dusted off our falls, and celebrated our successes. She mentored strength, humor, giving, grace, and goodness. We lovingly called her the Old Broad and laughed and loved her into heaven.
