ROWE, Mrs. Evaleen “Eva”, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Formerly of Flint, South Haven and Portage, Michigan Died Saturday, August 1, 2009, at her home in Albuquerque, NM, with her family by her side. Eva was born October 11, 1918, in Flint, MI, the second of twin daughters to Charles and Ruth Robinette Bardwell.

She graduated from Flint Northern High School. On April 14, 1941, Eva was united in marriage with Mr. George H. Rowe. During World War II, while George was serving in New Guinea, Eva worked as a beautician. After the war, George returned to Flint and began working for General Motors allowing Eva to concentrate on taking care of their home and growing family. After retiring they lived in Panama City, FL, South Haven, MI and Portage, MI, before moving to Albuquerque, NM in 2002.

Eva and George spent their retirement years traveling. Long time members of Parkland Presbyterian Church in Flint, George and Eva remained active at St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Albuquerque. Eva was preceded in death by her beloved husband George on March 6, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, four sisters, a granddaughter, Sarah R. Sanborn, and a special aunt and uncle, Charity Woodby Claytor and Jason Woodby.

Surviving are: four children and their spouses, Dr. Dale E. & Ellen Rowe of Kalamazoo, MI, Georgene M. & Alan Wright of Albuquerque, NM, Edward F. & Stephanie Rowe of Prairieville, LA, and Norine E. & James Montgomery of Portage, MI; nine grandchildren, Dr. Bruce & Kendra Rowe, Derek & Emily Rowe, the Drs. Kelly & Robert Yeung, Jenny & Trevor Hardy, Amiee Rowe, Laura & Timothy Hebert, Jacob Rowe, Haley Montgomery and Jennifer Montgomery; eight great-grandchildren, Alexander, Isaac and Olivia Rowe, Caitlyn and Edward Hardy, Timothy, Jr. and Trevor Hebert and Lila Rowe; a sister-in-law, Margaret Ketchum of Kalamazoo, MI; and many nieces and nephews.
