IDAHO FALLS, ID — Eva Osborne Young, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 19, 2006, at Idaho Falls Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Eva was born July 14, 1930, in Ashton, Idaho, to George A. Osborne and Mabel Olson Osborne. She grew up and attended schools in Ashton and graduated from North Fremont High School in 1948. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Idaho Falls LDS Hospital Nursing School, then began her memorable nursing career in Idaho Falls.

Eva married Jay Loraine Young September 13, 1952, in Elko, Nevada. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Idaho Falls LDS Hospital, which then became Idaho Falls Hospital and Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. During her career she provided nursing care in many varied supervisory positions, as well as being an instructor to many student nurses. Her list of nursing and supervisory experience is very extensive. She was a willing and hard worker. She retired after 47 years of nursing. She and Jay later divorced.

Eva was always very involved in the community and served with the Red Cross as an instructor. She was a member of the Idaho Nurses Association and served as District 5 Treasurer and Vice President.
