Eva Joe “Jody” Platz ~ January 2, 1948 to January 2, 2022
Jody was born to Slim & Lena McBroom in Hotchkiss, CO, she was the youngest of 4 girls, Jody spent her childhood and attended school in Gateway Co where she met her husband Dick Platz, they were married July 11, 1964, and were married 42 years, in this union they had 4 children Jim, Joann, Julie and Johnny. During their marriage, they lived throughout the Grand Valley including Mack, Gateway and Dinosaur, CO., remaining close to their roots and family.
Jody was proceeded in death by husband Dick, Son Jim, her parents, her sister Betty and a great granddaughter Isabella Jo.
Jody is survived by her daughters Joann Hindson of Grand Junction,
Julie Platz of Grand Junction and son, John Platz of Nucla; sisters
Shirley Cyr of Grand Junction and Nina Bronson of Oregon; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Jody will be dearly missed by her beloved dog Jake- the light of her life!
