Eva June Moore, 94, of Galesburg, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville.

Eva was born August 11, 1924 near Alpha, the daughter of F. Edward and Virgile S. (Johns)Wall. She married Ralph H. Moore in Detroit, MI in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1969.

Eva is survived by one daughter, Patricia L. (John) Pierce of Galesburg; two grandsons, Daniel (Joanie) Mudge of Bellefontaine, OH and Cliff Cleary of Flint, MI; two granddaughters, Monica (Steve) Spaeni of McFarland, WI and Angela (Dan) Larakers of Ashland; eleven great grandchildren, Caleb, Dorian, Yazan, Nader, Kaylee, Erin, Kassidy, Declan, Deryk, Brent, and Alyssa; as well as five great-great grandchildren, Kalaynee, Janzel, Kalylah, Lanee, and Jamie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, Eva was preceded in death by five brothers, Frances, Lester, Gail, Vern, and Edward; and one sister, Beulah Adams.

Eva made her life as a homemaker but worked as a seamstress, in retail, and as a beautician. She was a member of the Eastern Star in the 1950’s. For 20 plus years Eva was a sweet neighbor to many at Moon Towers. She was graciously cared for by many Knox County Nursing Home staff who became her friends. Eva “Nana” was loved for her unexpected, often funny, one-liner comments as well as her quiet, sweet spirit and her lady like mannerisms.
