Eva J. (Britto) Thatcher 88 of Carver, Massachusetts and formerly of Pawtucket, Rhode Island died peacefully on November 3rd at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Domingo Thatcher and daughter of the late Antonio and Anna (Braz) Britto. She graduated from Tolman High School and became a certified Physical Therapist at the Zambarano Memorial Hospital in Wallum Lake, Rhode Island. Eva also worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a clerk with the Department of Transitional Assistance. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and the first President of the Carver V.F.W.Besides her husband, Domingo, she is survived by her brother David Britto and his wife Deborah of Providence, R.I., sisters Irene Miranda and Jeanette Britto both of East Providence, R.I., Dolores Plourde and her husband Joseph of Warwick, R.I., and Ann Marie Crawley of Cumberland, R.I. She was the sister of the late Theodora Gomes, Gertrude Ramos, and Beatrice Palmer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
