Eva Halewich, 91, of Quakertown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thurs, June 23rd at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown. She was the wife of the late Walter Halewich who passed away in 1987. Born in the Ukraine, she was a daughter of the late Ivan and Antoninia (Nikitiuk) Prociuk. She worked as a seamstress for various clothing factories in the Quakertown Area for many years. During World War II, she was forced into labor in Germany and Austria. After the war, she moved to the United States in 1950. Family and friends will always remember her for never wanting anyone to leave a table hungry.
