Eva E. Bredbenner, 92, of 1701 Princeton Avenue, died Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Manor Care North following an extended illness.

Eva and her husband, Bernard W. Bredbenner, observed their 69th wedding anniversary on October 17, 2010.

Eva was a member of St. John’s-Newberry United Methodist Church, enjoyed sewing knitting and traveling with her husband. They were able to travel to each continent.

Eva was a Worthy Matron of the Eliza S. Barnes Order of the Eastern Star and a Pennsylvania Worthy Grand Matron of the Eastern Star.

Eva sold real estate for the former Koons-Nixon Real Estate.

Born August 15, 1918 in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of Norman and Bessie Swartz Bartholomew.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Bernard W., Jr. of Williamsport; daughter, Beverly A. Nash of Muncy; brothers, Clyde Bartholomew of Orangeville and Ralph Bartholomew of Pottstown; grandchildren, Carrie L. Bredbenner, Mary A. Eck and Ella Connacher; great grandchildren, Kasandra Brasington, Joshua Eichenlaub, Jasmyn Cramm and Skyler Eck.

Eva was predeceased by brothers, Norman and Charles Bartholomew and sisters, Beth Corter and Betty Reinaker.
