Eunice Vaca, also known as Uni, passed away having just turned 68 on June 8th, 2021. She lived in Belton, Texas at date of her death. She died on Saturday, August 21st, 2021, at Scott and White Hospital. She had struggled with her health for years, and had recently contracted Covid, and succumbed to the challenging complications brought on by Covid.
Eunice was born in Belton, Texas on June 8th, 1953. Her father was Bartolo Vaca, and her mother was Joaquina Siprian Vaca. She had 4 siblings: Lois S. Kelly, Simon P. Vaca, Joshua Vaca, Sam Vaca. Eunice was never married and did not have any children. She grew up in, spent her life in Belton, Texas, always very proud of that fact, and graduated from Belton High School. For years, she worked in-home day-care setting for several of her nieces and nephews, and for church family. Then worked several years for Belton Independent school district in the cafeteria. Then she became employed with Walmart and worked with Walmart for close to 20 years.
Eunice possessed an incredible heart, one of her greatest joys in life was getting together with family. Eunice had a very special place in that big heart for children, and even more so for sick children. She invested much energy into doing for others, family and otherwise. She enjoyed cooking but got most gratification from cooking for others. She loved to iron, found it relaxing, and would also do this for family and friends. In her down time, she could often be found reading a book, had a great passion for reading.
Eunice attended and was a member of the First Mexican Baptist Church in Belton Texas.
Eunice is survived by her sister Lois S. Kelly of Oglesby Texas; Simon P. Vaca of Salado, Texas; Joshua Vaca of Holland, Texas; and Sam Vaca of Belton, Texas. She is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts, and long list of very dear and close friends. She was loved by all.
Eunice was preceded in death by her mother, Joaquina S. Vaca, on May 3, 2021; by her brother-in-law Terence G. Kelly, on June 17th, 2021.
