Eunice Mae (McConnell) Durack, 88 years, of Fortville, passed away February 13, 2010 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. She was born May 21, 1921 on a farm outside of Oaklandon to the late Ellsworth and Grace (Harbert) McConnell. She graduated from Oaklandon High School in 1939 and married Paul Durack on July 12, 1946 in the parsonage of the old Fortville Christian Church.
She worked at the Oaklandon State Bank. Eunice Mae was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and homemaker as well as a tireless volunteer to her boys’ activities. Eunice is survived by sons: Donald Lee (Katherine) of Cincinnati, OH; Steve W. (Donna) of Fortville; and Gary Paul (Valerie) of Urbana, IL; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul on December 12, 2008; her parents; sister Gladys; and brothers Howard and Arthur.
