Eunice Coral (Lester) Yost Eunice Coral Yost passed away peacefully on December 13, 2020. She was married for 68 years to her soulmate Dr. John F Yost, who she met during high school in Nampa, Idaho. Eunice grew up on a large family ranch in Watford City, North Dakota, run by her parents Bessie (Garlough) and Donald Lester. She was the youngest of 10 siblings and 2 half-sisters, all of whom predeceased her, but leaves many generations of nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Dr. Yost, she is survived by her loving boxer Maeven and her niece Tamara Anderson, and husband Paul Anderson. Eunice enjoyed sharing memories of growing up with no electricity or water, treasuring the occasional piece of candy brough home by her dad and traveling miles to their one room school by horse. There she developed a lifelong love for animals, gardening, open spaces and the beauty of nature. In her early married life, Eunice worked as a bookkeeper in several business located in Caldwell, Idaho, Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska, and Aurora, to help support she and John through medical school. In the mid-60s, they relocated to Fort Sill, Oklahoma when John was drafted, and then to Aurora, Colorado during his deployment as an army neurologist in Vietnam. In 1969, she helped to design their dream home in Parker, Colorado where she spent 51 years with many beloved dogs, cats and horses, and abundant natural beauty. Eunice will be remembered as an experienced horsewoman and for the many years spent training her horses at the Betts Ranch, the great success at horse shows (especially Danaar and Dimitri) throughout the west, and as longtime member of the Arabian Horse Club and International Horse Association. She was a talented artist who painted amazing canvases filled with horses, Indians, and wildlife. She traveled extensively with John and had endless interests that included the history of the west, Indian life, antiques, animals, and nature.
