Mrs. Lewis peacefully passed away at her residence in Little Elm, Texas.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and aunt, Eula B. Lewis, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014. She passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in the home of her daughter, Twinkle Ballard and son-in-law, Michael Ballard, whom she lived with the last five years of her life.

Born in Cold Springs, Oklahoma, May 12, 1919, Eula aged 94, was a Pearl Harbor survivor.   In San Diego, CA at the age of sixteen, she met and married Martin Franklin Lewis of the United States Navy, who later became a Naval Chief and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

Settling with her husband and children in Santee, CA in the late 1950’s, Eula owned and ran a beauty shop in her home. Later, in the 1970’s she went into real estate, working with her daughter at their own company, Lewis and Lewis Realty. In 1999, she moved to Escondido, CA to take care of her brother-in-law who was ill. Then, in June 2009, after having been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, she came to reside with her daughter.
