Eugenia (Genie) Susan Summers (Ochs) Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away after a short illness on July 10, 2015 and went to be with her savior.She was the adopted daughter of the late Edgar and Elsie Ochs of Fredericksburg.

Genie left behind her husband of 57 years, Harvey S. Summers, two sons; Sladen and Tod, and two granddaughters; Victoria (Tori) Summers and Sesellie (Ellie) Summers. And her favorite puppy Peanut. All of Boerne.

Genie attended Fredericksburg High School, Schreiner Institute, and San Antonio College. She worked as a registered nurse for over 40 years. She served as a Charge Nurse for Methodist Hospital in San Antonio and as a Certified Case Manager for Genex, Humana and Aetna. She was one of the first RN’s in Texas to be certified as a Long Term Life Care Specialist.

Genie also known as Momo, was the center of her family. She was also a lover of animals; particularly horses and dogs. Her favorite pastime was attending horse shows where she was well known for handing out peppermint treats to all the horses. She was a member of Kendall County Cowboy Church.
