Genie worked as the switchboard operator for over 20 years with Hamilton Center Inc. before going to City Hall to become secretary to the Mayor for the last 16 years. She enjoyed playing bunco, driving around town with her best friends, spoiling her grandchildren, going out to eat on the weekends, and laying in the sun on Daytona Beach.
