Eugene William Siebenneicher of Deshler, NE the son of William and Elizabeth (Pabst) Siebenneicher was born January 7, 1924 in Deshler, NE. He departed this life Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Deshler, NE at the age of 87 years.
Gene grew up in the Deshler area attending school. He was baptized February 17, 1924 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE. At 16 years old he went to work for the Deshler Broom Factory for over 30 years. In the 70’s he started working for Reinke Manufacturing as a tube mill operator. In the 80’s, he went to work for IPSCO in Geneva, NE until his retirement. After retiring he worked part time as a guard for Reinke’s.
Gene married Vera Jean Koerwitz May 29, 1948 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler, NE. This marriage was blessed with the birth of five children. They were able to celebrate their 60th anniversary with a surprise party from their family. He was a past member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where he served as usher, also a member of the Deshler Volunteer Fire Dept.
Gene enjoyed God’s great outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening and just being around nature. He also liked car racing, especially helping Brent and Jeff with their race car, being part of the pit crew.
