Eugene C. “Gene” Stroud, 72, of Linton passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Born, January 18, 1942 in Monroe County, he was the son of Floyd and Georgia (Allman) Stroud. Gene was a machinist at Otis Elevator for 36 years.
He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed fishing and going to auctions. Survivors include one son, Brian E. Stroud and his wife Tonya, one daughter, Teresa M. Mathis and her husband Tod all of Bloomington, six grandchildren, Robin Stroud, Joseph Stroud, Tiffany Wilson, Ashley Wilson, Alisha Wilson and Ania Winders, two great-grandchildren, Dayln Bush and Laikyn Lentz, one sister, Pam Stroud of Bloomington and several nieces and nephews.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
