“WHO AM I?” On 04 March 1922, a brilliant and compassionate man would be born in Timisoara, Romania to the parents of Stefan Dumitru Stanculescu and Victoria Rdaislovici. That man’s name and legend would be Eugeniu Stefan Puiu Stanculescu (changed to Eugene Stefan Stanton in 1955 in Salt Lake City, UT). Eugene came from a family educated in Theology, an Army Captain, an Aeronautics graduate who was recognized with a plaque at the airport in Bucharest and an uncle with a PhD in Engineering. One of Eugene’s uncles had an Austrian Diamler vehicle that the King Of Romania borrowed to use in a parade in Bucharest.

During WW II while Eugene was living in Romania, he was impressed by the American Army and wanted to come to America to become a pilot. Flying did become part of his life – later.

From 1940 -1946, Eugene attended medical school at King Ferdinand I in Cluj, Romania.

A few years later Eugene became a DP (Displaced Person) and because the Romanian government lost its independence, Eugene realized it would not be easy to travel to America. “Out of the Blue Sky one day” Eugene still realized he wanted to go to America and was driven to make that dream come true.
