Eugene “Gene” S. Barnes, 84, of Williamsport died Thursday, October 11, 2018, at his home. Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara A. (Reid) Barnes.
Born May 2, 1934 in Williamsport, he was a son to Charles and Alma (Young) Barnes.
Gene was a graduate of Williamsport High School. He served proudly in the United States Air Force for over 12 years. After honorable discharge from the U.S.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son Michael E. Barnes (Teresa) of Nisbet; a sister, Virginia Harrison of Montoursville; and two brothers Donald Barnes of Florida and Melvin Barnes of Williamsport.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers; George, Kenneth, Robert, Marlin, Harold and sisters; Ada, Mary, Betty, Charlene and Dorothy.
