Eugene Richard Wessel, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, in Greenwood.
He was born Nov. 23, 1928, in Indianapolis to John Daniel and Anna H.(Eggers) Wessel.
Eugene was employed with Olin Brass, formerly Bridgeport Brass, for 48 years, retiring in 1988. Eugene enjoyed looking at cars and real estate. He loved basketball.
Eugene was the past president of Carnine Little League for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, Susan (Shelton) Wessel, seven children, Steven (Peggy) Wessel, Dennis Wessel, Gary (Wilma) Wessel, Mark Wessel, Max (Tamera) Wessel, Chad (Rhonda) Wessel and Elizabeth Wessel, a sister, Margie (John) Burke, three brothers, Daniel (Roberta) Wessel, Ralph Wessel and Albert( Diane) Wessel, 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
