After moving to Algona, Eugene and Eunice became members of Trinity Lutheran Church. In their later years, they spent several winters living in their RV in Texas and Florida. Gene was a wise, caring, and generous man who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Collins, CO, and Rodney (Bonita) Meyer of Burt; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn (Henry) Friedrich of Algona; a brother, EuClaire (Barbara) Meyer of Burt; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
