Eugene M. Endress, age 80, of Stockton passed away August 6, 2011 at Lena Living Center. He was born on September 26, 1930, in Berreman Township in Jo Daviess County, the son of the late Clarence and Blanche (Heidenreich) Endress.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church and was a member of the church his entire life. He was a graduate of Stockton High School class of 1948. He served his country for two years in the United States Army from 1951-1953.

Eugene married Gloria Schumacher on July 13, 1954, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Massbach.

He worked at Kraft Foods for forty-two years. He also helped on a farm, helped deliver TV’s, worked at the Ford Garage, and helped build four houses. He is a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, old cars, leather work, camping, and bee keeping.

He is survived by: his wife, Gloria; daughters Bonnie (Dennis) Sigafus of Stockton and Linda Vick of Freeport; son Richard Endress of Stockton; four granddaughters, Michelle Riley, Roxanne Sigafus, Patricia Holloway, Angela (Horace) Robinson; one grandson, Zachary Vick and four great grandchildren, Brice Riley, Brianna Riley, Dustin Corbin, and Jozlan Holloway; and two brothers Dale (Shelvy) Endress of Mt. Carroll and Wayne (Lynda) Endress of Morrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son, Karl Eugene Endress; sisters Irene Endress and Charolette (Marvin) Slick.
