Eugene (Gene) Grezner former owner of Gene’s Luncheonette and Deli of Fords, NJ passed away peacefully on January 11, 2014 at the home of his son Patrick in Newnan, GA with his family at his side. Gene was born December 15, 1932 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He was a resident of the Perth Amboy and Woodbridge area until 1988. He moved to South Jersey in 1988 and then moved to Newnan, GA in 2005. Gene bowled for many years at Majestic Lanes in Hopelawn. He was also an avid fisherman all of his life. Gene loved to play cards with his family and friends, go to the racetrack and the casinos. Gene will be missed by his wife of 42 years, Dianne McElhaney Grezner of GA, son Patrick Rodden of GA, son Gary Grezner of Hopelawn, daughter Darlene Grezner and husband Curtis of TX, sisters Joan Stankiewicz and husband Robert of South Amboy, Irene Csoppu and husband Kalman of Woodbridge, Jean Reeves of Toms River and brother John Asakovitz of FL. Gene was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Asakovitz and step father Stanley, father Pete Grezner and wife Rose and brother Steve Grezner.
