Eugene “Gene” Johnson, age 73, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016, in Newnan surrounded by family. He was born in Bakersville, NC on April 26, 1943, to the late Jess Johnson and Molly Johnson.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Bill Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife Myrah Johnson, children Jeffery Eugene Johnson and Michelle Garner, and her husband Tim. He is also survived by grandchildren, Cheyenne Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Chloe Johnson, great-grandchild Elijah Gauvin, sister Shirley Vickers and her husband Bruce, brother Marvin Johnson and his wife Kay, brother Charles Johnson and his wife Carolyn, and special friend Maureen and her husband Howard Duran, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
