Eugene J. Wolter, Sr. Preston – Eugene J. Wolter, Sr. 85, of Swantown Road died Wednesday morning at Pendleton Health and Rehabilitation Center in Mystic. Gene was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 29, 1926 son of the late Frank and Katheraine Wolter. On July 15, 1943 he was united in marriage to Ann Kirchman in Brooklyn, NY. Mrs. Wolter survives her beloved husband of 68 years. Gene began working for the Pfizer Corporation in Brooklyn, NY and relocated with Pfizer to Groton as a shift foreman.
