Eugene Hudak, of Boerne, Tx, passed away in his sleep on February 9, 2017. He was born on August 6, 1937 to John and Mary Hudak in Donora, PA.
Gene went to the University of Pittsburgh for his BA, spent two years in the army, and then returned to school at the University of Chicago for his MBA. He worked in sales and marketing in the food service industry, living in Buffalo, NY, Chicago, and finally San Antonio. After so many years in the snowy cold north, he relished the warmth and extended golfing season in Texas. After putting his kids through college Gene happily retired and focused on watching golf, travel shows, murdery mysteries, and all the PBS and educational shows he could find while lounging in his Lazy-boy. Somewhere along the way he figured out how to be happy and enjoy life, and he was living it down in Texas. He went to sleep and passed away, just as he always said he wanted to.
Gene is survived by his son Mark Hudak, his daughter Monica Burgin (Wesley), his granddaughter Elli, and his three sisters, Vivian Guilfoy, Elaine Timmer and Maryclare Poprik.
