Mr. Eugene “Gene” Walters, age 72, of Milford, beloved husband of Patricia Williams Walters, died Friday December 11, 2009, at Bridgeport Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Leckrone, PA on June 7, 1937, he was the son of the late Theodore and Isabel Talbert Walters. He served in the U.S.M.C. and later worked for the former Raybestos Inc. in Stratford and then retired from Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford. Gene was an exemplary husband and father and a man of integrity. He will be greatly missed.
Besides his wife Patricia of 33 years, he is survived by two children Mary Pimenta and her husband Jeffrey of Milford and John E. Paul and his wife Theresa of Huntington; thirteen grandchildren Sarah, Caitlin, Kelly, Emily, Crystal, Shawn, John, Julian, Jason, Meghan, Sarah, Mary and Hannah; two great grandchildren Nathan and Elisabeth; four brothers Harold, LeRoy, Earl and Donald; two sisters Doris and Betty. Gene is survived by his niece Eileen Allen-Ross as well as many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Hank, Thomas, Jeffrey and Elsie.
