Eugene (Gene) Prickett passed away March 1, 2016 in Caldwell surrounded by his family. He was 93 years old.
Eugene was born April 22, 1922 in Lyman, Nebraska to Elzie & Mabel Prickett. He was the fourth of six children. Eugene graduated from Lyman High School and attended Manhattan Bible College in Kansas before volunteering for the Army in 1945 where he was stationed in Occupied Japan. Eugene and his family moved to Idaho after the war where he met and married the love of his life, Mary Axtell, in 1948. He was the lead Motor Machinist for Caldwell Auto Supply for 38 years.
Eugene and Mary were blessed with five children: Mary Jean (Larry) Brown, Renita (John) Ineck, Janet (Bruce) West, Ed (Betty) Prickett, & Lori (Bryan) Martindale. They have 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, who have brought them much joy and laughter. Eugene is survived by all of these family members, his friend and brother-in-law, Leo Axtell, of Nampa, and many nieces and nephews, who were all deeply loved.
