Knoll, Eugene Eldor (Gene)
77 of Phoenix, Arizona formerly Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Passed away on August 21, 2011.
Born on February 20, 1934 to Eldor & Katherine Knoll in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from Lutheran High School, Milwaukee in 1951. While serving in the US Army he met and married Colleen Ankeny and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where they lived for 45 years. He enjoyed his long career in the produce wholesale business until retiring in 1999. They moved to Phoenix AZ in 2003 and enjoyed their final years together with their new found friends. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2005.
He was loved by all his family and multitude of friends and will be dearly missed. He will be remembered as very outgoing sociable person, a good story teller. He was a devoted husband and father. He is preceded in death by his wife Colleen, his sisters Deborah & Delores Knuth. Gene survived by his two daughters Denise and her husband Jeff Karnowski of Phoenix and Dona and her husband Rick Cattani of Waukesha, Wisconsin. Survivors also include his sister Sandra (Gerald) Lange and brother-in-law Donald Knuth along with nieces, nephews and many family members.
