Eugene E. Lock, 63, of Lostant, died at 2:41 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2006 in St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where he had been a patient for sixteen days after a five-month illness.
He was born August 23, 1942 in LaSalle to Willard E. and Marie F. (Wester) Lock. He married Jane Schmitt on July 8, 1967 in Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Leonore. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1960 to 1964. He was an electrician employed by Commonwealth Edison, working in substation construction. He was a member of St. Johns Church in Lostant, IBEW, the Knights of Columbus and was a volunteer for the Childrens Miracle Network Telethon for many years.
He is survived by: his mother, Marie Lock of Lostant; his wife, Jane Lock of Lostant; three daughters, Dawn (David) Cordes of Bloomington, Gina (Troy) Donahue of El Paso and Jodi Ayers of Ottawa. Also surviving are four brothers, John (Carol) Lock of Lostant, Jim (Linda) Lock of Tonica, Larry (Virginia) Lock of Bloomington and Bob (Nita) Lock of Henry; a sister, Sally Mason of Ft. Wayne, IN and three grandchildren.
He was preceded by: his father in 1999 and 1 grandson, Nicholas Donahue.
Pallbearers were: Daniel Wiesbrock, Dale Jaegle, John Lock, Jim Lock, Larry Lock and Bob Lock.
