Eugene Charles Hamilton Jr., age 62, passed away after a long battle with kidney disease resulting in congestive heart failure on June 8, 2018. Eugene was born April 3, 1956 in Kalamazoo, the son of Eugene Charles Hamilton Sr. and Anna (Mikula) Hamilton. Eugene graduated from Vicksburg High School, the class of 1974, where he joined the U.S. Navy, and he served on the USS George Washington Carver, Nuclear Powered Submarine from 1975-79. Eugene worked for Michigan Bell/Northern Tele-Com/Verizon and retired in 2010.
Eugene was united in marriage to Pamela Highland in 1978 and had two sons, Adam (Amber) Hamilton and Andrew (Jolie) Hamilton. His last marriage was to Patricia Skipworth of Clifty, Kentucky, all of which survive. Eugene had four grand-daughters, MacKenzie, Addison, Layla and Alivia (Bree) Hamilton. Siblings, Leonard Lee (Sharon) Hamilton, Gloria (Bob) Aspergren, and Anna (Steve) Harden. Nieces and nephews, Michelle (Troy) Sremba, Jill (Adam) Wood, Adam Harden, Ben (Monica) Harden, Racheal Harden, Kristhopher Harden and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, several aunts and uncles as well as brother in law, Bob Aspergren.
