Eugene Alfred Sayers, 81, of Middletown, husband of Mary Suzanne (Baylis) Sayers for 59 years, passed away on Thursday, October 31st surrounded by his loving family at the Hospice Care Unit in Middlesex Hospital. Born in New Haven, he was the son of the late Francis and Florence (Shaw) Sayers. Gene raised his family in Wallingford, lived in Durham and then moved to Middletown.
