Etsell Lee “Pete” Cochran, 81 of Thornton, WV passed away, June 8, 2011 at his residence with family by his side. He was born October 20, 1929, son of the late, Virgil Emmett and Ophie Francis Cochran. Surviving is his wife, Deborah Cochran; five children, Phyllis Coffman and Tom, Grafton, Jeffrey Cochran and Dorothy, Plantation, FL, Deborah Depolo, Washington, DC, Joshua Cochran and Amanda, West Union, David Haddix and Heather, Gladesville; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Virgil Fontain Cochran and Eike, Virginia Beach, VA, Charles Calvin Cochran and Patty, Philippi, Jean Harlene Cochran Wolfe and Dallas, Rowlesburg and sister-in-law Virginia Cochran, Grafton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Francis Cochran. Pete worked for B&O and Chessie System Railroads as an engineer for 36 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Lifetime member of Elks Lodge 308, past member of the Moose Lodge. Pete was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending his last few years with his family and friends.
