Ethyle L. Canada, age 93 years, of Plymouth, died Sunday at her home. She was the wife of the late Harold F. Canada and the daughter of the late Walter and Hettie (Gilbert) Lamphere. Born and raised in Gilbertsville, NY, she married her husband Harold in 1952. They moved to Syracuse, NY and later Hanover and Plymouth where she lived most of her life. She worked as a bakery manager for Angelo’s Food Stores for many years. She enjoyed traveling back to New York to visit with all her family and friends. She loved going to the theater, working word puzzles, ceramics, knitting and adding to her vast collection of bears. She is survived by her sons, William Canada of Plymouth and James Canada and his wife Michelle of Halifax, grandchildren Leah Gottlich of Colbrook, NH and Joseph Gottlich of Virginia. She was the mother of the late Nancy Gottlich, and the sister of the late Esther Hill. She was the mother-in-law Don Gottlich of Colbrook, NH, and the aunt of Susan Pochy and her husband James, and Michael Hill and his wife Barb.
