Ethyle V Bohannon, 97, of Moberly, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Valley View Nursing Home following a brief illness. Ethyle was born September 01, 1923, in Great Bend, Kansas.

Ethyle was united in marriage to Frank A Bohannon on September 17, 1950, he preceded her in death. She was a carrier for City Bank and trust for many years. She was a Gold Card Member of the former Order of the Eastern Star Shiloh #91 of Moberly. Mrs. Ethyle was one of the matriarchs of this community, especially in the Patton St area, where she witnessed and saw many generations of children come and go, observing them from one of her favorite spots, her front porch. From this perch, she missed very little and would say a lot, especially if you got out of line. But Mrs. Ethel was a loving soul. She loved to fish and also loved having family and friends over for little get-togethers and for many years throughout the summer, she would have a backyard full of folks who would come and go. If you were from Moberly and you came back to visit, this is one stop you had to make, if nothing else, to just say hello.

She enjoyed family, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and your children, she never turned anyone away, she loved everyone and those who came into contact with her could not help but love her back. She loved telling stories of days gone by and if you made it to personnel she would let you know “you meddling, mind your business” and then just chuckle.

Mrs. Ethyle is survived by her son Joseph and his wife Valessa Tiger of Kansas City, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and three nieces of the State of Texas

She was preceded in death by her Husband Frank Bohannon and a daughter Zexter Ann Hudson.
