Ethelyn Lynn Gannar, 75 years, of Springfield, IL died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL.
She was born February 7, 1933 in Wyanet, IL, the daughter of Ross and Bertha Ellis Kinnamon. She married John Gannar on October 16, 1976 in Springfield, Illinois and he preceded her in death on September 10, 1987.
She is survived by two brothers, Dan Green of Dundee, IL and Bill Green of Youngstown, OH; two sisters, Waneta Updegraff of Lowellville, OH and Jessie Acierno of Girard, OH; brother-in-law, Donald Gannar of Virginia, IL; sister-in-law, Betty Mataya of Pawnee, IL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gilbert Green.
Mrs. Gannar was a longtime resident of Capital Care Center in Springfield and donated her time helping other residents and staff. She loved and was loved by all at Capital Care Center. She attended Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Springfield.
